Recordings
The following are just a few of the projects that you can book for your club, parties, weddings and other social or corporate functions. Please feel free to contact any of the groups you see here to satisfy your entertainment needs. Arnett Howard and the Creole Funk band I began sitting in with Arnett and his band when he had a band called the Pacesetters. Arnett would book gigs in places that some would call dives and he worked his way up to be the toast of the town. I would play with the band when they played at Diebel's ( now called ??? ) This was the hardest I had ever worked in a band. I can remember having to get up at 6 in the morning to set up to do a school gig in the morning, breaking the gear down to do a school gig somewhere else breaking down again to do a early evening gig somewhere else, then breaking down to and setting up at a gig for that night. Arnett is one of the hardest working businessman/musician I have ever met. The Governor This was a long-standing gig for me at one time with Joe Yancy Ed Moed , Darchelle Williams, and Vicky Saunders. After the Governor left Columbus to work on a cruise ship, we changed the name to the Blu C. Much love to you Firestopper (Louis Jones). I will always remember you giving us all the work that we got!!!!!!! Dr Glory Van Scott I got a call to work with a group called F.A.C.E. They had hired Dr. Glory Van Scott to get a group of children ready for a play. She was a miracle worker. These children were reciting pages of script from memory. She had worked with Langston Hughes and more than a few stars of the stage and screen. She also has worked very closely with Katherine Dunham. Yumbambe - http://www.yumbambe.com I had heard a bout a salsa band in the early 90s. I went to go check it out and I was sure I set my sites on trying to work in the band. That is where I met Eric Paton. This was a turning point for me in that up till now all I had learned about drumming was in the African Diaspora. I learned a great deal about Haitian, Cuban and the Samba from Eric. Through Eric, I was able to arrange private lessons with John Amira, Bill Summers, Ralph Irizarry, Bobby Matos and John Santos among others. Talisha Holmes - http://www.myspace.com/talishaholmes Not only is she a great singer, but she has he ability to make you feel a tune!!!!!! Jamnesia - http://www.jamnesia.com Where’d you get that funk from?????? The Happy Dragons - http://www.thehappydragons.com If you run into any of the band members ask them how they came up with the band name!!!! Good luck with your family project Jason!!! Charged Particles - http://www.chargedparticles.com Dr. Jon Crosnick: drums, Caleb Hustler: keyboard, Mike Rak: bass, Ron Hope: percussion (and firecrackers at the Biltmore gig). Jon has moved away, I really enjoy playing with this band.
